IV Therapy and Vitamin Injections in Hilliard, OH

Fade Aesthetics and Wellness in Hilliard offers two kinds of vitamin services: IV drips, which deliver fluids, vitamins, and minerals through a vein, and vitamin injections, which are quick shots given in the clinic. Every IV starts with a health screening, and treatments are given by our licensed clinical team under medical oversight.

Screening Comes First

IV therapy puts fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, so it isn’t right for everyone. Before your first IV, your provider will review:

  • Your health history, including heart, kidney, and liver conditions
  • Medications and supplements you take
  • Allergies, including to any ingredients in the drip
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Any lab work needed for specific treatments, like G6PD testing for high-dose vitamin C

If something in your history makes IV therapy a poor fit, we’ll tell you, and we may suggest you talk with your primary care provider first.

Your Appointment, Step by Step

Hormonal imbalance can manifest in various ways, impacting sleep, energy levels, and mood. Biote’s BHRT offers a personalized approach to address these concerns, allowing for a more targeted and potentially gentler approach to restoring hormonal balance. Here’s how it works:

1

Arrive hydrated

Drink water and eat a little beforehand, which makes the IV easier to place.
2

Screening

We review your health history and recommend a drip or injection.
3

IV placement

A clinician places a small catheter in your arm. You may feel a quick pinch.
4

Relax

You sit comfortably while the drip infuses. Some people feel warmth as certain vitamins, like B vitamins or magnesium, enter the bloodstream.
5

Aftercare

We remove the catheter and go over what to watch for.
Hormone therapy may not be appropriate if you have a history of certain cancers, blood clots, stroke, heart disease, or liver disease, or if you’re pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

What IV Therapy Can and Can't Do

IV fluids can rehydrate you quickly, which may help if you’re run down from travel, exercise, or a stomach bug. Many people also report feeling more energized afterward. According to Cleveland Clinic, though, high-quality research on general wellness benefits of IV vitamins is still limited.

IV therapy isn’t a treatment for disease, and it doesn’t replace care from your doctor or a balanced diet. If you have ongoing fatigue or another health concern, it’s worth getting evaluated to find the cause. Our team can talk with you about whether a wellness consultation makes sense.

After Your IV

  • Mild soreness at the IV site is normal; a cold compress can help
  • Some vitamins and add-ons can cause a mild headache, especially the first time
  • Watch the IV site for a couple of days for bruising or swelling

Call us at 614-820-8050 if you feel unwell after treatment, notice significant swelling or redness, have a headache that doesn’t go away, or have pain at the IV site lasting more than 8 hours.

How Often Should You Get IV Therapy?
There’s no set schedule that everyone needs. Some people come in occasionally, such as after travel or a tough week, while others come more often. Your provider will recommend what makes sense based on your health and goals.

IV Therapy FAQs
Does an IV hurt?
Most people feel a quick pinch when the catheter goes in, and the infusion itself is usually relaxing. Everyone’s pain threshold is different, so tell us if you’re nervous about needles.
Is IV therapy safe?
When it’s given by trained clinicians after screening, serious problems are uncommon. Possible side effects include bruising, soreness, or swelling at the IV site, and rarely infection or a reaction to an ingredient. That’s why we review your health history first.
Why not just take supplements?
For most healthy people, a balanced diet and oral supplements are enough. IV delivery bypasses the digestive tract, which may help people who don’t absorb nutrients well by mouth. Your provider can help you decide if IV therapy is worth it for you.
What should I do before my appointment?
Drink plenty of water and eat something light beforehand. Wear a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.
Can I combine an IV with other treatments?
Often, yes. Ask when you book, and we’ll let you know how to schedule your visits.
